How Laser Hair Removal Works

Diode lasers have proven to be highly effective at hair removal. The laser emits light that penetrates the hair stem where the light energy converts to heat and destroys the hair follicle and papilla. This occurs during the hair growth stage, so multiple sessions are needed to achieve significant hair reduction, as only about 15% to 25% of hair is in the growth stage at any one time.

How Laser Tattoo Removal Works

The Pico laser delivers short pulses of specific light wavelengths to pigmented tissue in the skin’s epidermis and dermis layers. The wavelengths penetrate the skin and break up the tattoo’s pigment clusters. The resulting pigment fragments are then eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system.
